Click on the ID Vault Software Download link and follow the prompts to download the ID Vault software. When this screen appears, click Run to begin the download process.

Once the download is complete, the ID Vault End User License Agreement screen appears. Indicate your acceptance of the terms of the Software License Agreement by clicking 'I Agree'.

On the next screen, click Install, to place the ID Vault software in the default folder. You can specify a different location by clicking on Change.

You will then be asked to create a Master PIN (Personal Identification Number) from four to eight digits long and enter it into the 'Master PIN' field. Retype it to confirm. Your PIN will be stored securely on your PC and only you will have access to it.

Depending on the version of ID Vault that you are installing, you may be asked to enter a license code. Your license code would be provided to you after your purchase ID Vault on the purchase confirmation page and in your confirmation email.

Jump start your ID Vault by importing your online accounts from your browser into your ID Vault. With ID Vault, all of your account information is securely stored locally on your computer and only you have access to it.
If ID Vault finds accounts in your browser, it will display the accounts in a list for your review. Un-check any accounts you don't wish to add, then click 'Add selected accounts to my ID Vault' to continue.

The next screen will confirm by displaying the accounts added to your ID Vault. Click on 'Continue' and the ID Vault main menu will appear with the imported accounts categorized as Financial, Shopping or Other.

ID Vault confirms the online accounts you've added
If you don't click on one of your accounts on the menu, it will close into the ID Vault system tray icon. The next time you want to access one of these accounts, simply click on the ID Vault icon and select it from the menu to finish setting up one-click log in.

Click on an imported account and the Web site's log in page will be displayed in a browser. Enter the username and password to log in to your account as you normally do. Once you log in successfully to each account in your ID Vault, and ID Vault will log you in automatically from then on. Accounts that are fully set up with automatic log in will display in black whereas accounts that you need to complete set up for display in blue.
If ID Vault does not find any accounts in your browser, it will display the screen shown below, letting you know that installation of the ID Vault software is complete. Whether or not you import accounts, you will be able to add accounts as you do your normal browsing.
After your ID Vault installation is complete, start adding your accounts
After you click 'Done', you can begin adding your accounts by clicking on the ID Vault system tray icon and selecting one of the main menu options.
Note: Users of ID Vault Free Edition are limited to setting up 5 accounts.
