ID Vault PIN Security

Adding and managing your ID Vault accounts is possible only after your identity is verified. You will be asked to enter your ID Vault PIN the first time you use ID Vault, and once every 30 minutes thereafter, unless you adjust the frequency. You can change the PIN prompting frequency on the PIN pad or through the Control Center Options tab. See "Chapter 7: ID Vault Control Center" for detailed information.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you enter your PIN incorrectly four times in a row, your secure password file will be deleted and you will not be able to use ID Vault to access your online accounts. This security mechanism is designed to protect your identity from anyone seeking unauthorized access to your online credentials. If your ID Vault is deleted accidentally you can reactivate your subscription by emailing support@idvault.com. You will then need to re-enter your online account information into ID Vault.
