Options

ID Vault settings are found in the Options tab. The options are divided into two groups:

Prompt for entry of ID Vault PIN

ID Vault lets you customize the frequency at which you are prompted to enter your ID Vault PIN.

By default, ID Vault will ask you to enter your PIN once, then every 30 minutes thereafter. However, you can tell ID Vault to ask you as often as every time you open or modify an account, or to not ask more than once every 120 minutes by choosing the desired option.

For example, suppose you want ID Vault to prompt you for your PIN no more often than once every 10 minutes. The first time you log in to one of your online accounts, ID Vault will prompt you for your PIN as usual. If you then visit another account within ten minutes, ID Vault will automatically log you in without prompting you for your PIN. However, if more than ten minutes elapse before your next log-in, ID Vault will again prompt for your PIN.

Additional options

This group contains two options:

  • When browsing to non-financial accounts that are stored in ID Vault, prompt to open account: When you visit a Web site for which an account is already stored in ID Vault, and this option is checked, ID Vault will offer to log in for you.
  • Open shopping Web sites in ID Vault Secure View Browser: When this box is marked, when you open a Shopping Account using ID Vault, the Web site will be opened in the ID Vault Secure View browser. If the box is unchecked, Shopping Accounts will be opened in your default browser.
  • Modify the "Never Ask" list of Web sites: If the 'Never' option is selected from the 'Add Account' prompt, ID Vault will refrain from asking whether you want to add this account to ID Vault. These Web sites are then added to your ID Vault "Never Ask" list. To remove Web sites from your 'Never Ask' list, select the entry and then click 'Remove'.

To remove an individual entry from the 'Never Ask' list, select the entry with the mouse then click 'Remove'. The 'Remove all' option clears the 'Never Ask' list completely.
